Ongoing SEO

Visibility in Google and AI that drives sales.

Monthly SEO services: ongoing work on your visibility in Google, from keyword analysis and a topical map, through content optimization and links, to monthly reports with the number of inquiries and sales.

Who it is for

When does ongoing SEO actually pay off?

SEO pays off fastest where customers look for a product or service before they land on a website from an ad. Four situations in which investing in SEO makes the most sense:

01

A local business that wants to be visible in Google Maps

Local SEO, Google Business Profile and NAP citations put your business in the Local Pack, the three map results, for searches that include a city name.

02

E-commerce with hundreds or thousands of products

Category structure, canonical tags, crawl budget and product pages. In a large store, a technical error lowers the visibility of the whole catalog, not of one page.

03

B2B or SaaS with a long buying cycle

Customers research for weeks before they send an inquiry. Content and domain authority build trust at every stage of the buying decision.

04

A company losing traffic since AI Overviews launched

Google AI Overviews take away part of the clicks from organic results. I combine SEO with optimization for AI search (GEO/AIO) in one strategy.

What ongoing SEO is

What does ongoing SEO work involve?

Ongoing SEO is continuous work on a website’s place in Google’s free results: technical, content and link profile optimization that helps the website rank higher for the searches its potential customers type in.

Unlike Google Ads, SEO results do not disappear the moment you stop spending. Positions built over months hold for months or years. You pay for lasting visibility, not for renting a spot in the results.

I do not work from a template. Every SEO strategy starts with an analysis of keywords, search intent and the website’s topical map. Only on that basis do I decide what to optimize, what content to create and where to get links from.

The first results in organic traffic usually show up after 3–4 months. Full results come after 6–12 months, depending on the competition in your industry and the starting condition of the website.

Experience

In SEO since 2012, mostly at agencies.

I know how Google works, how an agency thinks and what a small or medium-sized company needs. You get the experience from large projects at a freelancer’s price.

Service scope

What does the ongoing SEO service include?

Three pillars handled in parallel: strategy and analysis (what to do and why), content and technical optimization (how to implement it), and authority and links (why Google should trust your website). You get a report on all three every month.

Pillar 01

Strategy and keyword analysis

What I do in detail
  • An initial audit and a topical map of the website
  • Keyword analysis (search intent, volume, difficulty)
  • Mapping keywords to pages: which keyword goes to which page
  • Content gaps compared with the top 10 results (Ahrefs, Semrush)
  • Content briefs with guidelines for each article

Pillar 02

Content optimization and technical implementation

What I do in detail
  • Optimization of existing content (meta titles and descriptions, headings, structure)
  • Schema.org structured data (Article, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList)
  • Oversight of technical implementation together with your developer
  • Internal linking and information architecture
  • Core Web Vitals: coordinating the work with the developer

Pillar 03

Link building and domain authority

What I do in detail
  • Link acquisition (industry websites, expert publications)
  • Monitoring the link profile in Ahrefs (new, lost, suspicious)
  • Local citations and consistent NAP data for local businesses
  • Comparing domain authority with the top 10 results

What you get every month

A report, priorities
and a strategy meeting.

Instead of a table of positions, you get a report with organic traffic, conversions from SEO and a plan for the next month with the reasoning behind it.

  • A monthly report with conversionsPosition changes, organic traffic and conversions from SEO according to Google Search Console and GA4. By the 5th day of each month.
  • A strategy meeting (30–60 min online)A review of the results and the plan for the next month. The recording stays with you.
  • Direct contact with the author of the strategyYou write to me, not to an account manager. I react to Google algorithm changes right away, without handing it over to someone else.

Step by step

What does ongoing SEO look like step by step?

Five stages: from a free intro call, through an initial audit and implementation, to regular reports and strategy meetings.

After the first month you know what we are doing and why. After the third you have the first data, and after the sixth you have results.

01

Intro call (free)

We talk online. You tell me about the project, the history of the website and your business goals. Based on that, I assess the potential and propose the scope of work.

02

Initial audit and strategy

An analysis of the current state: technical setup, content and link profile. You get a topical map and a keyword plan with priorities. Time: 1–2 weeks. The initial audit is part of the service and costs nothing extra.

03

Execution (ongoing, every month)

Page optimization, briefs or finished articles, link acquisition and oversight of technical implementation together with your developer.

04

Monthly report

By the 5th day of the month you get a results report: position changes for the most important keywords, organic traffic from Google Search Console, visibility in Ahrefs or Semrush and conversions from SEO in GA4, with an explanation of where the changes come from.

05

Strategy meeting

30–60 minutes online. We go through the results and set the priorities for the next month. The recording stays with you, so you can always go back to what we agreed.

FAQ

Common questions about ongoing SEO

How long does SEO take?

The first position changes usually appear after 2–3 months, and measurable results in organic traffic after 3–4 months. Full results show after 6–12 months, depending on the competition in your industry and the starting condition of the website. In return, the results last and do not disappear the moment you stop spending, as they do with Google Ads.

Does SEO still make sense in 2026?

Yes. Google still handles the vast majority of searches in most markets. What has changed is what it shows: AI Overviews now appear in many countries, and for some queries they take clicks away from organic results. The answer is SEO extended with GEO/AIO, not giving up on SEO.

How is a freelance SEO consultant different from an agency?

With a freelancer, you have direct contact with the person who does all the work, with no middlemen and no team rotation. At an agency, different people may run your project over a year. On the other hand, an agency has more resources for very large projects. I combine agency experience (in SEO since 2012) with the availability and flexibility of a freelancer.

Can I work with you without a long contract?

The first contract covers 6 months, because SEO does not give reliable results earlier. After that, we work month to month, with a 30-day notice period.

What happens when we stop working together?

Organic results do not disappear right after we stop working together, and that is one of the advantages of SEO. Positions built over months hold for months or years, depending on what competitors do. You also get the full strategy documentation, the report history and access to all the content created.

How do you measure the results of SEO?

The most important metrics are organic traffic from Google Search Console, position changes for the most important keywords (Ahrefs or Semrush), domain visibility and conversions attributed to organic traffic (GA4). I do not report positions alone: every report shows how many people came from SEO and what they did on the website.
